Colorado SW-PBS in collaboration with Devereux Cleo Wallace (DCW) will be hosting this day of professional development. The objective will be to build skills to support students who are at-risk within the SW-PBS framework.

Audience
Intended to support the learning and professional development needs:
  • Eligible facilities and/or alternative programs/sites that are implementing PBS
  • Eligible facilities and/or alternative programs/sites interested in implementing
  • PBS District or Site based Coaches
  • District level administrators that work with facilities and/or alternative sites/programs
Overview of the Day
Devereux Cleo Wallace and the Colorado Department of Education proudly present Barry McCurdy, Ph.D., NCSP, Director for the Center for Effective Schools, as our keynote speaker for this day of training. Dr. McCurdy is a nationally acclaimed expert and instructor in training, consultation and applied research in schools striving to prevent the escalation of antisocial behavior. The afternoon break-out sessions will include strands depending upon your level of PBS implementation. The levels of implementation addressed in this event will be Exploration, Initial Implementation, and Implementation. This day of professional development will focus on practices, systems, data, and outcomes at the universal level of implementation.
