This conference explores internet safety.
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Registration & Continental Breakfast
9:00 a.m. - Award Recipient & Keynote: Detective James McLaughlin (Pioneer in Trapping Internet Predators) will receive the 2006 Legacy of Caring Award for his pioneer work in making the internet safe. He has both studied and instructed in the field of child sexual abuse, exploitation and sexual deviance. Although he operates from a small New England community, Detective McLaughlin has netted hundred of predators from 48 different states and 13 foreign countries. He has seized 2,000,000 child pornographic images, participated in over 3,000 investigations; interviewed more than 2,000 victims involving sexual assault, exploitation of children, and other sex crimes. Detective McLaughlin also has personally conducted over 1000 investigations that have resulted in criminal charges as he continues his vital work in helping stop child molestation, sexual assault and exploitation.
